Personally I think that this was a political move to try to strengthen relations with one of the countries that doesnt have some sort of bad taste with the united states. honestly this is a waste of the taxpayers money that should be spent towards something more productive. Our country shouldn't have to suffer because of this frivolous spending that has riddled the presidency for years. I understand the need for treaties and other agreements that keep from war breaking out but this is just a desperate attempt for our country to seem like we care about other nations for reasons other than to exploit them.

President Obama announced that he was going to attend the funeral of the Polish president Lech Kaczynska and first lady Maria Kaczynska last week. The statement that was released stated that he was going to "express the depth of our condolences to an important and trusted ally, and our support for the Polish people, on behalf of the American people." This is a reaction to the plane crash that happened last week that also killed some officials that were also on board. The funeral was today and Obama should return tonight.

i think Obama did the right thing and this wasnt just a political move to boost up his popularity. Im sure if he died some other countries would come and show respect to the U.S. Not only was it the right thing to do it goes to shouw how humble of a person he can be.
